Technically all that wiring is the property of BT Openreach and you are not allowed to alter it. You are only allowed to extend it by wiring that plugs into it. BT Openreach now normally install a 'Master Socket' with detachable front plate. You are permitted to connect your wiring to the rear of the front plate. That is the official way of doing it. But of course..................
